For assignment 1, we are assigned to do a technical paper in a group of maximum two students. Out of 8 topics given, Serena and I chose the topic on "Online Social Community- the emerging trends among UMS students?". The topic is chosen because we personally think that it is an interesting topic as it revolves the current trends among the students which is the usage of Online Social Community.Besides, we are one of the Online Social Community user too. Throughout the process, we can gain important knowledges regarding the Online Social Community which had been neglected all this while.

The technical paper is divided to 7 Sections:

ONE history - History of Online Social Community,

TOday's Online Social Community - Current usage of Online Social Community and role they play in Society,

THREE basic ingedients - Basics to create an Online Social Community,

FOUR famous Online Social Community site in UMS -Description on four current most popular Online Social Community use by the UMS students ,

FIVE keys to keep personal information safe online - Method to protect one's personal information from hackers,

SIX things that should not do in Online Social Community - Unspoken rules of Online Social Community site

and lastly, SEVEN categories- Finding and analysis which we had done.

aSsignment 2

This is the second assignment for system multmedia media assigned by our lecturer early this September.

It is a group work. Thus, Serena and I form a group and named it "Sephanie". "Sephanie" is a combination of my name (Stephanie) and hers (Serena). We had a hilarious moment in choosing the group name, coming up with all sorts of weird names like "2S", "butterflies","biscuit" and many more. Thank god Serena save the day by combining both our names and come out with the group name that we are using now.

For this assignment, we were asked to complete two tasks using the Photoshop which we had learned earlier in our tutorial class. Task 1 required us to design a website template and apply it into one of our blog. As for task 2, we can select one out of the four themes. The theme we chose is promotianal material. We are required to design Album Cover and other promotional tools for any artist/ movie. Well...our lecturer would prefer us to use our own photo.So, the artist for this Album is decided to be Serena and Stephanie! That is us.

The work for this assignment were divided among us. I am doing task 1 and the poster for task 2. Meanwhile, Serena is doing the Album cover , bunting and ticket for task 2.Although the workload are divided, we still give each other ideas in working the task given.

We had few tough moment in completing this assinment as boh of us are new to the Photoshop software and web design. However, we were able to overcome it together. I think this what a group work is meant to.

In the end, we learn alot such as sharpening our skill in Photoshop and how to design a website template. Besides, we alaso learn to combine our ideas and work with each other to complete the asssignment.

Hmm..My name is Yap Hui Foong. I'm just a average little girl who still struggling in her study life.Trying to score as good as I can.Well..call me a nerd or wateva.I'm currently studying at University Malaysia Sabah while i'm from Negeri Sembilan.. ya ya.. far far away.. a girl travel so far all the way to study..

What usually people will said :-
1. Why not consider taking college?
2. So lonely...
3. So dangerous..
4. Poor little thing..
5. Oh! you are studying oversea! ( sarcastic one)

My one and only answer :-
1. No money.. what to do? lolz...

Worse come to worst. I've been offered to a Computer Science course major in networking. It will be good if i am not a computer illiterate or a person who hardly touches the computer unless the needs to use the Microsoft Word to type a LETTER. However, after studying for about 2 years in this course( I am a 3rd year student now), I do realise that i am capable in doing something which i didn't think of. Besides, i do meet a couple of good friends who been with me during up and down..and learn quite a lots of lesson of life. So think from the bright side, at least I've learn something in building who i am now.

PS: Well.. I do have a lots of fun at Sabah..lolz..doing endless stupid stuff..now with my sis studying with me,my life even better.( Less housechores <-- evil me)

I always think of life as a stage where I am the main actress, and the story revolves me. As the story goes, I'll have to collect all the meanings of life where i'll need to apply them in mine, trying to live a happier life.People will come into my picture and each them play their part in building who i am.

My Interest =]
1. FOOD! ( I think everyone who know me will thought of this. Lolz..i've been name as monster for passion towards food)
2. Art..( Something I really like since when i'm little but I didn't really sharpen my talent..one of the reason i pick multimedia subject)
3. Movie ( Series, drama, chinese movie, japanese movie, anime.. all "sapu habis")
4. Music ( That's my life)
5. Sleep ( Lolz.. i can be real pig sometimes..especially when I have nothing to do)
6. Read ( If I am REALLY interested with a book, i'll spend all my time with the book until i am done with it! How i hope it'll happens in my studies..)

Actually..this introduction is not only my first post but also an assignment for one of my course subject ( Multimedia). Aih... I'm not good in writing, so forgive me in all the shortcut..lolz..
